RDP Tuesday: History
I tried to be prettier
I tried to find a style
so that I could look snazzy, edgy and cool.
But of course I was not
pretty, stylish, edgy snazzy or cool.
I was just me.
Once I asked my Grandma to buy me some makeup for my 14 birthday
and she looked at me and said,
” You have a nice personality.”
Of course I am sure you have guessed
I do no have a nice personality
either.
It’s always a grandma or mother
You can buy your hair if it won’t grow, you can fix your nose if she says so, you can buy all the makeup that Mac can make, but if you can’t look inside you, find out who is your grandma, to be in a position to make you feel so damn unpretty
Btw I love your poem. And the photo is so cool. I love historical photos
Yeah. I was not her idea. But what can I say. Warts and all she has inspired some stories and poems.
So I guess in the end she did bring something good into my life after all.
