Desperate Embers

RDP Friday: CREPITATE

Aurora On Mars

That second before the Universe blazed to life

that second before the darkness snuffs it out

that moment before the executioner takes a life

that second after that lost soul decides to not jump off of the bridge

do the clocks stop, do they hold their breath,  are their hands stilled in fear?

And when the clocks start again does the air crackle

and pop like desperate embers in a dying fire

anxious to roar, flare and expire

over and over again.

Sea of Trees

  1. Reflections of an Untidy Mind – Tracy lives in Australia. She is passionate about the environment, her family and her dogs. She is a Type 1 diabetic of nearly 50 years. In her spare time, which is hardly ever, she is a mosaic artist. She is interested in what makes people tick and why they do the things they do. Her blogs will encompass important social and environmental issues, plus more mundane subjects like her experiences in dealing with a chronic medical condition and unruly dogs.

Fabulous, Anita. Now I will always wonder. Even more so.
