Daily Prompt: Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

Apples

crispy, firm,

when you bite into a fresh apple

 warmed a little by the Sun, cooled by the evening air,

the apple’s sticky sweet  juice runs from the corners of your mouth

and down your neck

not drop by drop

but slowly like a stream nearing it’s end

in a forest of dark and leafless trees.

I imagine that is what a Vampire sees

what a vampire tastes

what a vampire feels

when it plunges it’s fangs into your neck.
