This isn’t one of those pages.

 I like to do the writing challenges, I write short stories, I like to take pictures. Sometimes I travel and I love pizza.

Without pizza I would starve.

Seriously,  I write and blog because it’s fun and I opened this up for people to look at because I’m a writer through and through and writers want to be read-

at least this one does.

I’ve been writing stories since I was 9, I was a mortician’s apprentice, I loved to ride motorcycles I play the guitar, love going to the symphony and did I mention I love to write.

I’ve seen a lot, I’ve met interesting people and I see weirdness everywhere  and the stories I could tell you-well-

You can count on this:

  1. Narayan Kaudinya – Hi, I am Narayan Kaudinya. And i welcome you on this journey, the Road to Nara ! I am an Ethnographer and a practicing Indologist. I did my masters in History and further learnt Sanskrit, Yoga and Nerve-therapy. At 24, pushing most academic sounding, office sitting works away, i felt compelled to know and understand the world and my country, Bharat/India. I travelled, and as it happened i took up teaching in Kashmir and further up in the remote villages of Baltistan in the foothills of Karakoram Ranges. For around three years and many states later there came a time when i felt that it was only while teaching i learnt how to laugh, to see, feel, breathe, love and cry -with children, and mostly resource-less parents in the harshest-freezing border conditions. I write, and work as a documentary photographer and Filmmaker, with numerous published, exhibited and some awarded stories. In my travels and life i have let nature lead me, the divine mother, and as a Yogin, my resolve here is to share my experiences and thoughts as honestly, and through them to blossom in everyone the power and possibility in pursuing your breath, that you seek your true nature with courage and curiosity. Here, on this road i will share my spirit, my love for nature, the elements of life that are us. And in doing so, i'll be happy to see you along.

  2. Forestwood – A philosophic Aussie writes here at StPA, one who will readily admit to loving Scandinavia. I'm interested in global politics and what drives us to be who we are. Scratch the surface and you'll find a practical Environmentalist with an egalitarian bent, trying to unleash a little creativity via the written word. Scandinavian culture, literature and traditions are close to my heart, even though I'm Australian. Travel and courteous discussions greatly broaden the mind, so I travel if I can and am always up for a vigorous, respectful discussion.   4. usfman – South Florida – I accomplished a rewarding career as a teacher and professor for 28 years.No more daily lesson plans now frees my curious mind to experience life on my own terms now.

    • I used to suffer from horrible anxiety attacks, when I was experiencing them I was absolutely sure I was going to die.
      So I made it my business to learn about death and what it could do, because in my mind I thought I would know when it was ‘real’. At some point I began to view things that scared me as wicked little creatures with big personalities and a warped sense of humor and it colored my stories.
      I guess I had learned to manage my fears and one of the ways was to, in a way accept them for being unique with a sense of humor.

  7. stephendallen – Styria Austria – I was born and raised in Northern Ireland and currently reside in Styria Austria. I am a Stoic by nature and a fan of Friedrich Nietzsche, Seneca, and Epictetus. I am tired; I have lived all lives in this one. Loved too much, if that is possible, earned too much, lost too much, and this I have done many times over. Most of my writing to date has been poetry with one book published to date, several short stories, and a novel is close to being published. At first glance it might seem I am somewhat negative but that is far from the truth, I am a watcher, always trying to see what is really there when the niceties and falsehoods are stripped away.     I want to thank you for all of your “likes” on Through The Cracked Window.You did something few others bother to do, you went back to the old stuff and hopefully got some perspective on the path my writing has taken. I was surprised and happy you did. I read some of those posts and it almost seemed someone else had written them. I thank you for reminding me where I used to be and where I am now. – Stephen.
