A Reminder From The Twilight Zone

Today I am reflecting on these lines from the Twilight Zone episode titled, ‘ He’s Alive ‘ that was written by Rod Serling.

Where will he go next, this phantom from another time, this resurrected ghost of a previous nightmare – Chicago? Los Angeles? Miami, Florida? Vincennes, Indiana? Syracuse, New York?
Anyplace, everyplace, where there’s hate, where there’s prejudice, where there’s bigotry.
He’s alive.
He’s alive so long as these evils exist.
Remember that when he comes to your town.
Remember it when you hear his voice speaking out through others. Remember it when you hear a name called, a minority attacked, any blind, unreasoning assault on a people or any human being.
He’s alive because through these things we keep him alive.

Seriously-One Day

Serious Election Day Thought:

Seriously…lol, I love this.

I am a serious voter:

I used to like to vote in person because I wanted that sticker- a few years ago they were handing them out at a drop off box in my neighborhood  and people were pretty excited about that.

So the message out there is to vote and participate no matter what Party you belong to.

Sure.

We ALL hope that happens.

Today the stores were full of Christmas decorations.

This year I didn’t mind, it’s nice to have something else to think about, something  else to look forward to, something to be excited about.

But I did feel bad because this year I feel like Halloween was outshadowed by truly horrific  events and monsterous people indulging in endless dark and despicable behaviors.

Carving a scary face into a pumpkin and hanging my favorite skeleton out on my porch seemed to pale in comparision to what I saw on my tv each night.

I’m looking forward to the Winter Holidays, but there’s a little voice in my head that’s upset that Halloween took a backseat to reality this  year.

I hope against hope that after Tuesday that the dark reality we have been plunged into for the last four years  is no more and one with more promise takes it’s place.
