Just a Thought

The best Christmas

is the kind of Christmas

That haunts you forever.

When is Krampus Night?

Krampusnacht, or Krampus Night, traditionally takes place on December 5th, the night before the feast of Saint Nicholas. During this night, people dress up as Krampus and roam the streets, participating in parades and festivities that celebrate the dual nature of the holiday season

I won’t be roaming the streets dressed as Krampus on the 5th –  I’ll probably be putting up my tree.

It would be fun to attend a Krampus Night Festival, but I always manage to miss it! Well. There’s always next year, right?

Here’s a new report about Krampus Night here in Washington state.

It Snowed In Fox Lake

My son was lucky enough to get snow just after Thanksgiving.

These two pictures do a lot to put me in the holiday spirit- I’m not sure if its the snow or the lights or the fact that they are night shots, but it makes me happy to look at them!

Berrrrr Months

My favorite months are the Ber months-

September is fabulous because you can still get out and do fun stuff without being mummified by the Sun and the weather is iffy so you can wear sweatshirts and shorts  together which is a thing here in Washington state.

And of course there is October, which is pretty much my reason to exist:

There is November- which I love because I can celebrate Halloween and Christmas at the same time:

last but not least is lovely lovely,  December-

it’s cold, it’s dark,it snows, it’s full of ghosts and music and good things to eat and drink

I don’t have a single favorite month- I don’t see any reason to pick one when there are three that are worth celebrating.
