When I am afraid that my clock is winding down and my heart is racing with fear
when I realize that calander full of dates and weeks and months hanging on my kitchen wall
is not printed contract between me and time,
I think of all of the stories that are left to be written and the books that I have yet to read
and the storm in my head goes away and I am at peace.

I have never been at peace in my entire life.
I dream about it,I long for it but I have never known it
and do you know what?
I don’t think I really care.
I just want to make it through the day in one piece and I want to wake up that way
