RDP Tuesday: REINSTALL

Photographer Unknown

It’s not that I don’t like writing about me as a kid or writing about my day or things that I see and hear that just tickle my fancy. I think of telling those kinds of stories as exercises.

To be honest, I hardly ever revisit those posts because when I get down to the bare bones of it, I enjoy writing about scary things, and dark things and negative things and the horrifying decisions people make.

To scratch that itch, I’ve started writing posts that will start going up for my 100 Days before Halloween project and do you know what? I’ve really been enjoying myself.

In fact I’ve enjoyed it so much I dug up some notes and prompts for horror and suspense stories and decided to do those along with my RDP challenges- which I enjoy because they do keep me sharp.

So, I’ve hit the CTRL-ALT-DEL keys ( or as my Dad used to call it, the Three Finger Salute ) and I guess I’m going to really drill down on what excites me as a writer.

It’s time to reset and reinstall.

And This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

Do NOT say the name ” Macbeth ” in a  theater everyone knows that.

It’s bad luck.

As Hannah said on twitter :The devil works hard but the updater of the Macbeth Wikipedia page works harder”

– sorry to say Wikipedia has already pulled this down:

Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand in ‘Macbeth’

Getting Some Culture Is FUN.

Manga Me-

I created this at Google Arts and Culture– it’s a Manga character, but I actually based it on my own features and hair. LOL. I Look like a monster and NOT like a cute Manga character. So all in all I’d call it a winner.

Facebook Has Feelings Too!

A week or so ago I got into a spat with Facebook over a cartoon they pulled- the reason being they said that if you looked at it you might commit suicide.

They did put it back up:

But then they decided that some sort of punishment was in order,  so two years after the fact and a week after agreeing they were incorrect  they restricted me from ” Going Live ” or advertising.

Two things.

How do you go live- because I have never done that and I’m not interested in that option because my dog gives me all of  the instant adoration I need

and

I wouldn’t give Facebook money to advertise and I never follow their links to buy things. If it’s a legit site, I always leave FB and go in through the site’s address.

So I guess Facebook has feelings, who would have guessed?
