Skeletons, Statues, Vampires and Other Surprises
All of these pictures have one thing in common- I took them by accident.
I was either aiming at something else or I just clicked my camera at the ‘wrong time’.
I wish I had the talent to take my camera out in the world and find these oddly entertaining moments on purpose but I don’t have that talent and I don’t think it’s a skill that anybody can learn.
So once and awhile I go through my photo gallery and get a fun surprise. I suppose that will have to be good enough.
I was checking the time on my phone when I must have pushed the wrong icon and got this- according to Google it’s about a week old.
I was taking a picture of this marble tomb because I liked the pink marble and the textures when I got photo bombed by a vampire. No fooling, on that day a group of vampires were taking a tour of the cemetery and one caught me:
I got off the train and was putting my phone into my backpack when I heard that click sound my app makes when I take pictures. I didn’t look at it right away because I new I was standing near a light post and who cares about those? When I went to delete the photo I saw the sticker:
I had no idea the statue was a person in makeup- I just liked her dress so I took out my camera and snapped the picture and right after that the Statue started to dance. It was a cool experience.
- WordPress Daily Prompt: What skill would you like to learn?
I Said The Cornish Prayer Last Night
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggety beasties
And things that go bump in the night,
Good Lord, deliver us!
Cornish Prayer
Or maybe this:
without having actually seen this creatures legs, I’m assuming they are very long and can move very fast.
That’s not why I said the Cornish Prayer last night.
Last night my son sent me these pictures and without even thinking about it, I said the prayer with feeling and conviction. That’s my fancy way of saying I really meant it.
That’s right, I thought it was haunting and scary to see sweet little deer playing in a cemetery in the middle of the night.
It’s not the macabre or the dark or the things that call it home that give me the chills- I get the chills when the day to day world shows up in an unexpected place, takes off it’s mask, shows me it’s real face and dares me to ask what is going on. That frightens me more then any ghost, goblin or beastie.
