The Wave
Gustave Courbet1869/1870

These are the ” Big Five Personality Traits” that we humans ( and I would argue  most dogs and a few cats ) share:

  • openness to experience (inventive/curious vs. consistent/cautious)
  • conscientiousness (efficient/organized vs. extravagant/careless)
  • extraversion (outgoing/energetic vs. solitary/reserved)
  • agreeableness (friendly/compassionate vs. critical/rational)
  • neuroticism (sensitive/nervous vs. resilient/confident

The acronyms for these traits are  “OCEAN” or “CANOE”

So if I were to look  at these traits and answer the WP Prompt: What’s the trait you value most about yourself  which would I choose?

I’d have to say I’m pretty open to new experiences- change is inevitable. I learned that from working in a Funeral Home. Like it or not nothing ever stays the same-not our faces, not our relationships not even the flavors of our favorite Sodas ( looking at you Coke ).

That sounds grim, but as it turns out I actually do like it when I get hit by a wave and knocked off of my feet because I happen to take boodles of pleasure from the experience  when I get back up again.

I can’t say that I always find myself in the most favorable positions at those times,  but that’s the way the cookie crumbles and I’m fine with that.

Treat Time!

Are these tricks or treats? Are they sweet or sour?

The choice is yours.

Bon  Appétit

I might try this:

Bill Hader was unaware that Bill Skarsgârd could actually move his eyes in two different directions. He asked Skarsgârd what kind of editing was done to achieve the effect in the first movie. Skarsgârd; in full costume and makeup, responded by saying, “Oh, you mean this?”, causing Hader to freak out

VHS Pillows-  if you google VHS horror movie pillows you’ll find a bunch of vendors who sell  pillows similar  these. However the person who posted this picture to the group I’m in did not respond when asked where these could be purchased, so I’m guessing this was just a picture they ran across on the net with no explanation.

I thought these were sweet treats- what about you?

Flashback to Word Play

For Fandangos Flashback Friday I went back to this date in 2020 and saw this post about playing with words.  I decided to run it again because as I went through my post I saw some great stand alone ideas for some Halloween stories- how cool is this? Revisiting our posts is a great idea- shout out to Fandango for running this  Prompt!

This Fun Creative Writing Exercise Will Change Your Life

Playing With Words

First published on September 29th 2020

Fun creative writing prompt- you choose one word and then another word and  you keep going and you’re not supposed to care where you go, the words don’t even have to go together.

However I started with cemetery and went to popsicles and bits and pieces of a day at work came back to me, so I improvised. But that’s what being creative is all about!

This was a fun prompt-follow the link above and give it a try.
