Our Social Workers Wore Leather Jackets

First off, I think Gene Simmons of Kiss is an ass.

I liked some of Kiss’ music, but I wasn’t a huge fan. I liked Paul Stanley and Ace though, they seemed cool and they were talented musicians. Gene has a long tongue.

However, recently Gene Simmons came out and said that Rock and Roll is dead and I found myself agreeing with him.

It’s not that the musical style is gone- it’s just that the spirit is dead.

Rock and Roll, being a musician, that ‘universe of rebellion’ has gone dark.

The funny thing is, when I think of The Republican’s Dear Leader on his way to squatting in the White House with his cabinet of Racists, Rapists, Drunks and Crooks and people ask- where is the outrage?

Here is what I think. When I think  of all of those silent concert halls, and clubs, the neglected electric guitars,  I think I know.

That spirit of Rebellion is quiet  because one of the places it came from is gone now.
