An acquaintance of mine used the phrase , ‘ awesome sauce ‘ so much and so often that one day I cracked and I was ready to drag her into an awesome sauce factory staffed by rotting zombies and drown her in a vat of noxious awesome sauce.
I know awesome sauce are just words, but some words take on a life of their own and roam the Earth long after they have died of natural causes or were murdered by careless tongues.
Choose your words carefully or risk that you too could end up in a vat of awesome sauce with my acquaintance.

Sometimes in April, for sure by late May I begin my trip to Halloween.
I write stories, I take pictures at cemeteries, I even try to bake some Halloween treats and I buy my dog his costume.
I begin to day dream about autumn and winter and I start reading ghost stories from the Victorian Era because the writers then new their stuff!
When I start my journey to Halloween, I’m never sure where I will end up- will my blog be chocked full of cool stories and pictures? Will I find new music to love years a round, read a new book that sends chills down my spine, maybe even take in a great movie along the way?

The thing of it is, I’m never sure.
Sometimes I get a trick and sometimes I get a treat, but it’s always great trip Halloween no matter what happens along the way.

WP Prompt: What’s a moment that made you realize you were stronger than you thought?

During the height of my depression, after suffering through two deaths in my family and a devastating act of betrayal, I got a puppy.
Getting a puppy and while training and caring for it while I existed in the rubble of my former life may not look like a good idea in retrospect. But I not only took care of him, I took care of myself too.

A.M. Moscoso
My puppy is going to be 12 years old In July.
Hamish is a happy go lucky dog. He loves to interact with people, he’s wonderful with other dogs no matter what size they are or their age.
He’s great with children and he still loves to learn new tricks.
When I look at Hamish now, I realize it took strength teach him to navigate a life that was complicated and a challenge.
I didn’t realize at the time I had that kind focus and determination.
12 years later, when Hamish hears the alarm go off in the morning he bounces out of bed, grabs me a toy and his joy is contagious.
We have a good life, Hamish and I.
It took a lot to get us here, but we did it.
