One of my favorite scenes from the TV show ” I Claudius ” is when Livia is chatting with a fellow poisoner. They are swapping notes when they hit a snag and finally work out what they’re are discussing is Wolfsbane- or aconite.

Livia tells the woman, that ” it’s root looks like horseradish but it will do more then clear your head.”

Indeed.
