I just wanted to pop in and say

yes this blog is still live, but I’ve been busy with the move at work

and I’ve been busy, busy, busy.

So don’t forget I’m here and I PROMISE to get back to work

ASAP.

The company I work for is in the process of changing our location and considering the Company has been in the same building for 100 years ( yes really ) I have been pretty busy packing and moving my department ( oh the perks of being a manager )

The thing of it is, I work in the part of the building that is old, it’s walls are brick, it’s below street level so it’s like working in a catacomb.

Plus it’s haunted by a guy in a blue work shirt that has shown up in moments of high drama ( like the Nisqually Earthquake.

I’m feeling challenged because I know this space has inspired my writing.

And I am wondering if this move will change the flavor in my stories.

God, I hope it doesn’t.

Dear January

January- wow, you were one Hell of a ride!

The down side to you, Dear January, is that I didn’t write at all.

The upside was I was out there in the world, seeing new things as my day job responsibilities shifted, The President of The United States has literally flushed the Country down the toilet and when said toilet started to over flow he literally S*&@ more into it and tried to flush it again.

Sidenote: I was working at a warehouse where the toilet literally exploded while being used by someone who suffers from mysophobia and to this day his screams are probably the reason my ears ring from time to time for no reason.

It also took my waaaaaayyyy after Christmas Day to take my tree down because

A. It’s a fake tree so it wasn’t going to dry out and mummify in my living room ( which, really wouldn’t have freaked me out.

B. I didn’t feel like it.

So as I’ve been going through my days, living my life and some new adventures I’ve been coming up with ideas for stories and THAT is a pretty cool deal.

Good Bye Sweet Frankie

Franke and Opie
2025

Yesterday my Son lost his wonderful dog, Frankie.

Julio and Frankie had play dates at first and in a short period of time Frankie moved in with Julio and his fiancé   Nicole.

Frankie was there when both of my Granddaughters were born and in my eldest  Granddaughter’s world Frankie has always been there.

Frankie  got to spend a lot of time with my youngest granddaughter Luna who was born in September.

Frankie was there when two of my Granddaughter’s cousins were born and he was there to grow up along side Julio and Nicole’s nephews.

He was there when my son made that jump from being a single and carefree kind of guy to a grown man with a family.

Frankie was loved. He was a big part of a very big family and even as time moves on and that distance between where Frankie is now and where we are is unfathomable, there will always be a place just for him right here in all of our hearts.
