The Gardener’s Secret

Murder, mayhem, maybe

yesterday I dug a grave for

someone

to loud, to obvious, so common

every spade of  earth

raked and turned  with care and joy

yesterday’s dream is ready for the wake

Ragtag Daily Prompt: Mystery

My Dark Companion

Rendered helpless by a  smile, a moment of conversation here and there rehearsed words practiced for lost years wormed their way into my ears

Undone by chaos enveloped in sweet promises sealed with a kiss that tasted like bitter chocolate, I hate chocolate sweet or not but I swallowed each drop, each buss hungrily

Ended in dust, witnessed by rats brought back to my own darkness by the promise of my Cacodemon, my constant companion now.

Before You Know It

Rest, who needs it?

All I have ever wanted to do was run, dream, watch the stars fall

Pulled away from that all

by my vicious clock

and it’s relentless hands moving forward

demanding I do the same

Instead

maybe I should look at it’s

second hand, wearing down it’s face

there’s a lesson there.

Did you hear the alarm go off? I haven’t. Not yet. Not today.

Did You Hear?

wm

Entangled in a web

Cold has turned my soul to ice

Heart has been torn from my chest, silent scream fills the night

Overhead the moon and stars still shine

 Echo.
