I have been told that sometimes the mad, the forgotten and tortured souls that haunt the halls of hospitals and asylums wail and weep

that sometimes they sleep

and if you’re lucky they never dream and they never remember

before.

On this Mother s Day

May your Mother’s day be filled with waffles, homemade art work and spooky movies- because that’s the way I roll baby.

Now What?

The Four Horsemen, from “The Apocalypse”
Albrecht Dürer

I remember my friends in the Democratic party TELLING me to not push issues like Immigration and Race because it made middle of the road voters feel ‘uncomfortable’.

Also, I was told by elected officials that we didn’t have problems with diversity- so really, I was told, I would just be wasting my time.

I was encouraged to save the salmon and fight for alternative modes of transportation like electric bikes because ” WE ” could use those issues to ease people into bigger issues.

Well. I did it their way and now a Convicted Felon is in the White House and he’s burning down the house and has kidnapped an elected official from another country AND the Official’s wife.

The Horseman of the Apocalypse are sitting in a diner somewhere twiddling their swords and scythes because  those said ” Middle of the Road ” voters and a bunch of racists and low information voters decided to Vote for a Racist Felon because he had a penis and the other candidate did not and in casting their vote  the way they did they stole the Horseman’s gig.

There are some days I think people are for the most part good.

And there are other days I could just puke at the thought of them.
