Dear Anita

RDP Sunday: SHILLY SHALLY

Dear Anita ( wrote  my Muse  in a note )

I know you hate it when I take off and have fun without you,

but hey you’re the one shilly- shallying around your place doing super unfun things

like laundry and cooking meals that you don’t even taste when you eat them.

I had this brilliant idea where me and you and Hamish could hit the cemetery down the

street ( Anita- there is a cemetery down the street from where you LIVE ) but

NO. You watched something on NETFLIX about a cemetery in ENGLAND

when there is a creepy old cemetery DOWN THE STREET FROM WHERE YOU LIVE.

So today on the train ride home, when you pass those places where you saw the

remains of people who had been hit by trains and the place where a woman was hit by

the train you were on AND LIVED I am going to sit next to you and try to get you to

wake the heck up.

I have loads of ideas about how to make that happen.

If you would just listen to me for a minute, I’d be happy to share them with you.

Sincerely,

Your Unamused Muse.

Little Windows

It’s been raining a lot, so I’ve had libraries on the brain. It’s funny because I never really used the library in the fall or winter. I used them in the Summer.

I also realized ,as I thought about libraries, that I miss going to the library to do research, and I missed exploring the stacks . It’s nice to think one day I’ll go back, but I doubt I will.

The words that tumble from your nicotine stained lips

are bound together with rusty metal barbs crawling with Clostridium tetani

the air around you is choked with sulfuric acid and a dash of carbon monoxide

nothing can grow in your shadow

and nightmares, when they dream, scream your name
