Supersonic TV

When I was a kid, this was my favorite music program.

I really wanted to be the girl in the song, ” Supersonic “….

Shape of things to come-

His head is on FIRE.

Live For Today ( and the rest of the week )

Thursday Inspiration #284 Let’s Live For Today

I’ve chosen two songs from my ‘tweens’  that said to me- hey! Go on take a chance and just DO IT! Get out there and find true love!  (hahah t like I was an expert at failed romances and finding true love when I was 12 years old ) But I understood enough that the people in these songs were going to take a leap and shake their lives up. I liked that idea- don’t you?

Happy Hawaii

Song by

ABBA

Early this morning I drove in the rain
Out to the airport to get on the plane
Hey Honololu, I’m going to happy Hawaii
Alice has been there, she said it was fun
Swimming and surfing, enjoying the sun
Hey Honololu, we’re going to happy Hawaii
After all I’ve had to go through
I’m making no plans (making no plans oh-ooh)
ButI, but I believe love gives me a second chance
Guess I’ve been working a little too hard
Need a vacation, I’ll send you a card
From Honololu, a greeting from happy Hawaii
It’s so exciting, why should I pretend?
In a few hours the plane will descend
Hey Honololu, we’re going to happy Hawaii
(We’re going to Honolulu, we’re going to Honolulu)
I can imagine the beach and the sand
Walking with someone and holding his hand
Hey Honololu, we’re going to happy Hawaii
(We’re going to Honolulu)
After all I’ve had to go through
I’m making no plans (making no plans oh-ooh)
But I, but I believe love gives me a second chance, mmm
I’ve got a feeling the dream will come true
Someone is waiting and I’ll forget you
Hey Honololu, we’re going to happy Hawaii
(We’re going to Honolu-)

Escape (The Pina Colada Song)

Song by

Rupert Holmes

I was tired of my lady
We’d been together too long
Like a worn out recording
Of a favorite song
So while she lay there sleepin’
I read the paper in bed
And in the personal columns
There was this letter I read
If you like piña coladas
And gettin’ caught in the rain
If you’re not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you like makin’ love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
Then I’m the love that you’ve looked for
Write to me and escape
I didn’t think about my lady
I know that sounds kinda mean
But me and my old lady
Had fallen into the same old dull routine
So I wrote to the paper
Took out a personal ad
And though I’m nobody’s poet
I thought it wasn’t half bad
Yes, I like piña coladas
And gettin’ caught in the rain
I’m not much into health food
I am into champagne
I’ve got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red tape
At a bar called O’Malley’s
Where we’ll plan our escape
So I waited with high hopes
And she walked in the place
I knew her smile in an instant
I knew the curve of her face
It was my own lovely lady
And she said, “Oh, it’s you”
Then we laughed for a moment
And I said, “I never knew”
“That you like piña coladas
And gettin’ caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean
And the taste of champagne
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
You’re the lady I’ve looked for
Come with me and escape”
If you like piña coladas
And gettin’ caught in the rain
If you’re not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
I’m the love that you’ve looked for
Write to me and escape
Yes, I like piña coladas
And gettin’ caught in the rain
I’m not much into health food
I am into champagne
I’ve got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red tape
At a bar called O’Malley’s

Sleaford Mods vs Lene Lovich – Lucky Discourse (The Remix)

Sometimes mashups are sort of cool.

This one makes sense and it’s cool.

[Intro]
Ah-dee-ah-dee-ah-dee
Ah-dee-ah-dee-ah-dee-ah-dee-

[Verse 1]
I never used to cry ’cause I was all alone
For me, myself and I is all I’ve ever known
I never felt the need to have a hand to hold
In everything I do I take complete control
That’s where I’m coming from
My lucky number’s one
I’ve everything I need to keep me satisfied
There’s nothing you can do to make me change my mind
I’m having so much fun
My lucky number’s one

[Hook]
Ah-ooh! Ah-oh!

[Verse 2]
I now detect an alien vibration here
There’s something in the air besides the atmosphere
The object of the action is becoming clear
An imminent attack upon my heart I fear
The evidence is strong
My lucky number’s wrong

[Bridge]
Something tells me my lucky number’s
Gonna be changing soon
Something tells me lucky number’s
Gonna be two-ee-oo-ee-oo…

[Verse 3]
You certainly do have a strange effect on me
I never thought that I could feel the way I feel
There’s something in your eyes gives me a wild idea
I never want to be apart from you my dear
I guess it must be true
My lucky number’s two
This rearrangement suits me now I must confess
The number one was dull and number two is best
I wanna stay with you
My lucky number’s two

[Hook]
Ah-ooh! Ah-oh!

[Outro]
(Number two, number two, …)

-

[Verse 1]
You can’t be bragging ’cause you said you made a load
A fry ups worth of [?] when it came off the road
You’re nitty and you said you knocked out twenty-two
But I knew that wasn’t right ’cause I was watching you

[Chorus]
Who wants me?
Don’t talk about it
Even after half three
Don’t talk about it
Who wants me?
Don’t talk about it
Even after half three
Don’t talk about it

[Verse 2]
They got you in the warehouse with a nail gun
And they all went through you slowly after snorting some
But even in the clear of hindsight we
We never touch the real feeling
Just the empty discourse

[Chorus]
Who wants me?
Don’t talk about it
Even after half three
Don’t talk about it
Who wants me?
Don’t talk about it
Even after half three
Don’t talk about it
