What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

In some books, in a lot of movies the hero in the story is driven to average the rape of his wife/ betrothed / girlfriend.

For some reason writers and filmmakers have driven this trope forward into great detail. I think there are other ways to tell this story without asking an actress to do a nude scene, but that’s me.

I mean, the story should be, why did the “hero” leave the love of his life behind at the lowest point of her life when she is feeling the most vulnerable?

That’s the story. How do you walk away from someone you love when they are hurt and at their most vulnerable?

There are a lot of good movies being made that are not on the Hallmark channel or “family friendly” that don’t need rape scenes or nudity and they still manage to be epic adventures  or great mysteries or horror or Sci Fi movies

 

Read what you like, watch the movies that you like. Just take a nap with you so that you don’t get lost in a story that isn’t a story.  It’s just a road side attraction that is designed to kill time  because someone ran out of ideas
