- For RDP Monday: DEADFALL

The first time I visited this cemetery in Fox Lake, Wisconsin in 2018 a storm had hit and there was deadfall in the cemetery.
A few of the gravestones had been damaged, but not as many as you’d think because there were a few old trees around the grounds.
This is what struck me: I live in Washington state, so I am no stranger to the sound of trees falling over, or having their branches snapped off and tossed around in a windstorm. Do you know what it sounds like? Sometimes it sounds exactly like breaking bones. It must have been a bit unnerving to have heard this going on in a cemetery.
I’m sorry I missed it.
