October 2025, Fox Lake Wisconsin

All of my trips to visit my Son and his In-laws for Halloween are special.

These moments are from last October.

Before you think I let my Granddaughter dig random holes in a cemetery, this is actually an edited photo of a funeral service we attended for her Great Grandma. This was Jemma’s tum to place a shovel of dirt into her Great Grandma’s grave. I’ve edited other people out because it was a funeral so privacy needs to be respected.

While Waiting For Godot Adven-ture: PRESERVING  MEMORIES

TheMagical Artist

I love to watch an artist paint or sketch.

A line here, a swipe there a flick of the wrist and like magic an image appears.

It’s magical it really is magical.

I wish that I could carve pumpkins with that same magical  ease.

A cut there, a little slice there a flick of the wrist there and there and like magic a face appears on my pumpkin- maybe it will be a screaming face, a laughing face a face with too many eyes or not enough teeth.

I think about carving pumpkins a lot during Halloween and when it isn’t anywhere near Halloween I still think about carving pumpkins-

among other things.

Four

Here is my contribution to Judy Dykstra-Brown’s “The Numbers Game.”

This week’s number is 206.

To participate, go to your WordPress media/photo file and type that number into the search bar. Then post a selection of the photos  that find under that number and include a link to our posts back to Judy’s Numbers Game post of the week.

I have chosen four pictures that I took myself- each one tells a little story and maybe I’ll get around to sharing those.

Ancient

For Word of the Day Challenge: ANCIENT

If you don’t love going to museums, if the artifacts that you can find don’t tickle your imagination just a little- if you can’t feel or hear the stories they tell, you  need to try harder when you are there the next time and you need to keep going until you do.
