I was a freak and a loser back in high school.

I hated high school.

I hated it when I was going through it, I hate remembering it,  I hate writing about it.

I hated high-school.

On the other hand, I took a Russian History class which to this day has served me well- I understand the politics, I have a deep admiration for their music and literature.

I also got to apply for and was granted credit for Writing because way way way back in the early 1980’s creative writing class wasn’t a thing so it was only taught to the Sophomore year.

I got to write all the way through high-school and I got credit for it.

I also had to work my backside off.

For the most part what I learned in high-school was how to not be lonely is a crowd of people and how to be true to myself.

Those  turned out to be the most valuable lessonsof all.
