Deck Those Halls!

Just a few decorations from Halloween past and present.

My son shot the video of the animatronic  possessed girl last week ( my favorite is when her head spins around and you can hear those gears crunching ) and the Pennywise mat is at his house.

The wreath and the signs are mine- I actually keep the tin signs up near my kitchen year round because they just work in that space.

I’d like to find something creepy cool to put on my deck, but nothing has jumped out at me- yet.

Mystifying Mints and Skull Erasers

RDP Friday – Eerie

Sometimes I go out and look for eerie things- you know, things like eerie people who laugh and growl when they think nobody is looking or abandoned houses with Christmas lights still strung around the living room window even though there isn’t a window to speak of and no one has lived in the house for dozens of years and sometimes those eerie things find me.

And sometimes a few words will jingle around in my head and take on a life of their own.

Yesterday I bought some mints that came in a tin that looks like a Ouija board and I set them down next to my skull erasers and the lightbulb popped on.

Here they are, posed for your amusement and Halloween musings-

Mystifying Mints and Skull Erasers.

October Treasures

Here are the most recent additions to my Halloween décor.

My niece created the centerpiece- my contribution was to buy a bunch of stuff that looked cool ( the purple flowers have eyeballs in them, fake ones- I know bummer ) and to dump them on the table in a jumble and she did the rest.

The Gargoyles are part of my year round gargoyle family. I collect them. The two in this picture were gifts from one of my sons.

So you know this print is going to stay up on my wall year round, right?

Luis gave me this book. It’s fantastic. The drawings are beautifully done ( on the macabre side but…YAY ) and I’m treating myself. I’m only reading a few pages a night… you got that right?

I’m only going to read this book at night. Probably by candle light. I can’t imagine a better way to do it.

So here they are, my newest October treasures.

For the curious, yes the hunt continues.
