Time Is A Killer

Photo A.M. Moscoso

I have

all the time in the world

to peel back the layers

that hide what I want

to get to the bone

 to the core

of the treasures that I seek.

Hell To Keep

Photo A.M. Moscoso

I buried something

in my garden

among the pumpkins and herbs and corn.

I turned the Earth

with my cold pale hands

and now

 I hope, and I pray

it still sleeps

and that it doesn’t dream

about me.

Secrets

are

Hell

to keep.

Below the surface

is where the monsters live.

The big ones that only come out at night

to hunt us

in our dreams.

About That

Now THIS is the most precious Halloween Challenge I’ve seen posted on Facebook.

Who, it asks, would I take along on a Ghost Hunt?

Silly, silly question.

I don’t hunt Ghosts.

My prey runs around on two legs.

XOXO
