RDP Sunday: PERPETUAL

From the time we enter the system- for our driver’s licenses, ID’s passports until the time we are no long bound to this mortal coil, we have to update our information or pictures on those little documents that state who we are and that yes we do exist- in the system anyway.

There is an exception to that rule though and of course that rule is set aside for royalty.

Specifically one royal.

I am referring to Ramesses the ll.

In case  you’re not up on your Ancient History, Ramesses II is often regarded as the greatest, most celebrated, and most powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom. His successors and later Egyptians called him the “Great Ancestor” and guess what he has a passport.

It was necessary for Ramses The Great to obtain a passport ( as required by laws in France regarding entry and travel ) so that he could be sent to France and be treated for a fungus that was damaging his mortal remains..

Forever and ever Ramesses II, a citizen of Egypt will never have to update his passport photo.

RDP Saturday: Bizarre

I’ve been experimenting with creating images via Gemini on google and some of the results are bizarre.

I asked to create an image that included a morgue, demons a corpse and an attendant.

It’s what AI added that I found bizarre:

The lighting fixture was weird, in addition I didn’t ask for one.

The lighting fixture was prominent that’s what caught my eye I don’t know what the significance of the book is, was it supposed to be used to call the demons forth? Bring the corpse back to life? Again it’s prominent so I wonder why it was added.

And I guess I should mention that I didn’t specify that the attendant had to be male, but Gemini hit it’s default mode and went with a guy.

I have enjoyed using AI to create images for my blog posts, and as fun as it is I can see how some people end up creating more complex images on some high end sites. I don’t want to go there, but this is a useful if not interesting tool.

Did you know that the first known use of the word Gyrate was in 1830

and did you also know in that same year the word

anti-erotic made it’s first appearance

which tells me that in 1830  people were somewhat conflicted about passion

and that this famous painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard ( 1767) of a brazen little hussy  swinging between two men as she flirts  with one while leaving the other in her wake  may have been predicting that all of that gyrating may have led to to anti – erotic sentiments.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
