Last October I was in Wisconsin visiting my Granddaughter Jemma for Halloween and during my trip we went out exploring cemeteries together.

I grabbed these pictures of her and  what jumps out at me is the confidence in her face and demeanor.

She created a mood or a look without any prompting from me and when I went back to file the pictures I was stunned. She is only 5 years old, she is learning to read and she is already finding ways to tell a story.

That’s my girl- that’s my Cemetery Girl.

RDP Thursday: STUPOR

There are times

when my head feels empty

my lips feel numb and my tongue sits behind my teeth

and hides.

 

There are times

when my eyes feel like they are

on fire , there is a tickle on the back of my neck

and my blood boils inside of my veins.

 

And then there are other times

when I feel all of these things at once

and all I can do is laugh hysterically

at the state I find myself in.

WP Daily Prompt: What is the greatest gift someone could give you?

The greatest gift someone could give me is NO surprises.

I thought that I have come to a place in my life where I can’t be shocked or surprised by the people I know and by that I mean by the things they say and do, well I’ll be darned if they have proven me wrong over and over and over again.

If you can’t do that, if it’s just part of your nature to hustle your way through life and we have to exist in the same space well, I don’t know, I’m partial to French Macarons.

It’s like this Daily Prompters.

I was told I wasn’t smart enough to go to college and that it wasn’t for everyone ( me being in that group)

It doesn’t matter who told me that, it doesn’t matter why I believed it, but thank you WP Prompters for building a big shiny stage for the well educated of your bloggers to glow from.

Affirmations are a wonderful thing, aren’t they? It’s great you did that today for some of your bloggers today.
