For Now

Bloganuary writing prompt: Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

William Hays (American, b.1956)
“Nightfall Snowfall,

I am thinking about now- what I ‘m seeing and feeling right now.

Most people will whip out their phones and capture these moments, but the reality is I take crappy pictures so that would be a wasted effort.

Instead I just stand there and soak it in- the rain, the fog, or the Sun ( I hate the Summer but that’s not the point here )  the conversations going on around me ( for some reason if laughing is involved, I ignore it ) and if there are good smells in the air- the smell of baking is a favorite I want to take it all in on atom at a time.

My dog lives in the moment and along with my Granddaughter  they are  the happiest creatures I have ever known. So I am following their lead.

However, there are times though when I like to look back and sometimes I look forward and turn over those frozen moments in my life and then I put them away-

for now.
