Getting Ready To Take A Trip
When I was a Mortician’s Apprentice and I used to dress the departed, I remember two things.
The clothes that their families brought in- no matter how well worn the outfits were- were always in really nice garment bags. Sometimes the garment bags were brand new. I thought that was sweet,ย it seemed like they were packing for a trip- maybe to Hawaii or Victoria BC or Disneyland.
The second thing was, when I would put the shoes on the departed, I always did it carefully and gently because it reminded me of the times when I was teaching my sons- and even my younger brother and sister- how to put their own shoes and socks on and tie their laces. When I think back on it, if I talked to my client when I was preparing them for their funeral it was always when I was putting their shoes on or covering their feet.
Death is cruel, it’s a cheat, it’s scary. But sometimes it is undeniably kind.

Let’s Spell It Out.
As we wade through the mountains of word-turds dropped all around us by Convicted Felon Donald Trump, I thought it would help to define and draw a picture ofย his followers who also drop mountains of word-turds too.
I call these turd droppers MAGAts:
Supporters of President Trump, one carrying a bust of the President, climb the walls of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2020, as they and thousands of others protest the electoral college certification of President-Elect Joe Biden.
Structurally, MAGAts display similar features across species. Their body shape tapers to a point, and they are typically paleย in color.MAGAtsย have no spines attached to their soft bodies.
Their anatomy includes mouth hooks, which act as forks that scoop decaying foodย ( and words )into their mouths. The varying structures of mouth hooks enable observers to differentiate between different species of MAGAts.

Their bodies also contain oversized salivary glands that enable them to digest decomposing material more easily.MAGAtsย breathe through anterior and posterior passages to the trachea known as spiracles.ย MAGAts also speak out of their posterior passages.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
