Of all the cool tech toys- Na-no pets and baby key chains, the Casio keyboards and land line phones with the curly cord (back then landline phones had a selection of casings) my phone looked like a cheeseburger) my favorite thing was my Sony Walkman.

My Mom gave me one for Christmas before they really became a big thing, so I felt pretty cool there for awhile.

I loved my Walkman because it was just me and my music and if the tape got damaged, I knew how to fix it.

Now days I have my phone  and a pair of lightweight headphones to listen to my music on, but you know it’s not the same.
