This Counts

I wasn’t lost in a cemetery on this October in ’25. I was cutting across the cemetery when I saw this family’s gravestone nearly buried in crisp autumn leaves.

I was wandering that day when me and this family met.

I think this counts as a find for all four of us

That’s Bleak

Daily writing prompt

What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?

If you have been betrayed, or lied to it makes it hard to remember the kindnesses people have shown you. It’s not that you don’t appreciate those kindnesses, it just makes you wonder if they were ever real or if they were something somebody did to get themselves through moment with you.

The Line

I have always wished I could draw.

My Dad was an artist, so was his Grandfather and his Uncles. So are my sons and my sister and brother, but that talent skipped me.

And then one Summer as my counselor recommend I try colorbooks, it was all the rage for reducing stress and guess what it worked.

Not only did working with those beautiful gel pens and colored pencils relax me, it felt like I could draw.
