Lets Take A Walk, Shall We?

For #100DAYSOFHALLOWEEN HAPPY-Small Businesses

If you’re in Victoria BC over Halloween, then I would urge you to take The Ghostly Walks Tour:

If you take the nightwalk tour  and  it is a little foggy and there is a little bite to the air then your experience will be complete- as in completely spectacular.

On the tour I took I learned about a Haunted Candy Shop and  author  Robert Service aka The Bard of The Yukon ( I’m a fan now). I also learned that Jack The Ripper may have called London his home but other brutal killers were partial to Islands and that the next time I walk by an old world court house  I’m going to wonder how many people were hung on the property before the building was repurposed and  now houses offices and storage space for furniture and outdated tools and computers.

I am partial to Victoria for a lot of reasons- one being my family lived there before they emmigrated to the US sometime in the 1920’s and I also love Victoria because there are ghosts on every corner.

If you don’t believe me, go up to Victoria, take the Ghostly Walks Tour and see  for youself.

Challenged

#100DAYSOFHALLOWEEN HAPPY  challenge today is ” I made this.”

That is SUCH a non-starter for me because I can’t draw, do crafts, take a decent photograph or whistle between my teeth the way my Great Aunt Irene did. I even tried to learn how from this youtube clip- but no cigar:

But a challenge is a challenge and when it comes to writing challenges I don’t like to back down so I wracked my brains and realized I have made something pretty awesome.

I made my Granddaughter and my dog smile- check it out:

What can I say beside SCORE

Outside

Artist Unknown

I spend more time outside during Autumn and Winter then I do during the Spring or Summer.

Something about a dark sky filled with black clouds or stars and something about feeling that bite in the air that makes me  squint not in pain but expectation excites me and then it  makes me smile from ear to ear.

I think at those times I look like a skull, sitting on a shelf in a lab hiding in the basement of a castle or a morgue that nobody goes into unless they’re cursed and lack a pulse.

Round About The Cauldron

#100DAYSOFHALLOWEEN HAPPY-Potion

No doubt about it- this is the most famous potion ever brewed by a witch or witches

First Witch
Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison’d entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot.

All
Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Second Witch
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

All
Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Third Witch
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witches’ mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin’d salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg’d i’ the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Silver’d in the moon’s eclipse,
Nose of Turk and Tartar’s lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe (30)
Ditch-deliver’d by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger’s chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.

All
Double, double, toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Second Witch
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes-

Open locks, whoever knocks
