Sometimes cats make me laugh and sometimes they make me wonder how the human
race made it to the top of the food chain when we had to compete with cats with saber teeth.

A Smilodon, or Saber-Toothed Cat
Mock them now, but I have the feeling that they are laughing right back at us.

With the exception of one of my cats, the other six were all black cats and of those six four of them found me.
I literally opened a door and there they were.
There’s nothing spooky or evil about black cats- but they do make their own rules.
Happy Caturday!

For this Caturday ( which is always a good day, right? ) I thought we could reflect upon Cats in art- this is a wonderful piece to take in. It’s how we see cats-floofly, serene- the cat in this portrait might want nom on that butterfly but not before torturing it half to death
HOWEVER
Cats in art don’t do stuff like that.

Jean-Jacques Bachelier, White Angora Cat, 1761
But this is Caturday and we should probably remember that cats come fully equipment with murder mittens and that they barf on our stuff when we make them mad- which is 99.99999 percent of the time.
Happy Caturday Everybody!
