Putting My Feet In The Dirty August Writing Prompt#19: Mangy Max
Mangy Max had three loves
and he buried them neck deep in the sand
he feed them strawberries, gave them sips of champagne
from a delicate tulip glass.
They loved Max and he loved them
on the beach, under the Sun and the stars
and they all played joyfully together
until the tide came in
and with only a little scream
Mangy Max’s three loves were gone.
Dressed in white
these
vicious, merciless
Vampires
butcher their prey by day
leaving their victims
drained of life, colorless, no sweetness
to make you cry out in joy, to dazzle your eye or dance upon your tongue
their embalmed victims look alive
but they never really were
Sad Raw Cakes
untouched, unloved on bone china plates.

When I was on furloughed from work for a month I played with my dog, watched TV ate a lot of pizza and thought about eating a lot of pizza.
Johnny Wilson put together a CGI Jazz trio that featured a Lion and Owl and a Panda.
I think Johnny Wilson made better use of his ‘free time’ then I did:

three actions
that will leave not a mark on the future
but scars.
