WP: What was the best compliment you’ve received?

It’s not like I get a lot of compliments-so it’s easy to remember the best one I ever got.

When I was in my 20’s I got a lot of advice on how to ‘fix my flaws’, whether I asked for advice or not.

You know. I was hopeless in the face department  and for the most part dateless too.

So one day I was at work and this very dapper elderly gentleman walked up to me and said, ” Young lady, you make that dress look beautiful. “

It took me a second or two to realize he wasn’t complimenting my dress and how it made me look good-  he was complimenting me.

I never forgot that- it was one of the nicest things anyone ever said to me.
