When I  am tired

and feeling uninspired

I look out the window

and I imagine that the trees in my yard are full of ghosts

and that in my garden behind my house

Witches and monsters are sleeping- safe and sound

under lush beds of Night Shade, Nicotiana and Moon Flowers.

I am sure that my ghosts and witches and monsters would prefer my dream to the reality of my attic and basement and uninhabited guest rooms they haunt.

I suppose it’s safe to say, we all have our dreams- or nightmares.
