Sixteen Hours

In sixteen hours my second Granddaughter will be born.

I guess you could say I’m little bit excited!

There’s a clue to her name in this painting.

A Golden Time

Evening Glow
John Atkinson Grimshaw 1884

My ideal week would start off in the evening.

It would end in the evening.

In between those times the sky would be filled with soft cold, golden light

and the air would be chilly.

Sometimes the gardens would be frosted over and the streets a tad bit icy and when you went out for a walk

and

the air would smell like apples and freshly carved pumpkins.
