Years after Stephen King’s ” Pet Sematary had been released, I took it in my head to read it again, because lol, I had started work in a Funeral Home.

After I had finished the last chapter and went to sleep in the middle of a massive thunderstorm ( no kidding, it was huge ) I woke up not because of the lightening or the thunder or the sound of the wind beating rain against my bedroom window, but I woke up because there was a massive weight on my chest.
Before I opened my eyes I thought it was my heart. I was going into a full blown panic attack. Not only did my chest feel like it was full of lead, I couldn’t even open my eyes.
Then I took a deep breath, I forced my eyes opened and I found myself staring into the face of my cat.
” Sometimes dead is better Anita ” he said to me.
I didn’t scream loud enough to wake the dead…but the living people in my house that night were treated to quite a symphony.
