In this video Artist Ross Rossin discusses his creative re-imagination of Frankenstein’s tragic creature and the end result made me say, ” there you are.”
It’s alive.
My favorite feature are the Creature’s eyes- they look like a wolf’s eyes.

A few years ago I was in New Orleans exploring a cemetery on Basin Street on Halloween and among several interesting tidbits, I learned that these crypts were also called ” Ovens. “

On the day I was out taking these pictures it was warm.
For a girl from the Pacific Northwest, it was unseasonably hot.
I may have had cold drink in one hand and a camera in the other.
That part of my recollection makes me laugh.

I have to admit though,
when I look at these pictures Hansel and Gretel and the Witch’s oven pops into my head
and I wonder
what
or who
I would see
if I cracked open the seal and looked inside.

for Halloween.
Open you eyes
time to wake up
throw back your dirt blanket
it’s time
for Halloween
Just for this night
not one second more
we will dance with the living
because it’s
Halloween.
