Years and years ago my youngest son went head first down a wet slide. He shot off the end of it and when he landed he broke his arm.

Over 30  years later I see a picture of my granddaughter ( my youngest son’s daughter ) going down a snowy hill, head first on a saucer sled.

She made it to the bottom of the little hill without breaking any bones, but I have to admit, when I saw this picture my heart did skip a beat and after I got my breath back-

I had to ask myself, does this surprise me?
