The Goddess Of The Pumpkin Patch

RDP Thursday: Callipygous

As I perched my warty pumpkin against the foot of a mossy tree for her picture, I am positive the warty little pumpkin fancied herself callipygous as she posed proudly against my oak tree in the October sunlight.

I loved my pumpkin, warts and all, so I asked Gemini to take a look at the pictures of my warty pumpkin and—let’s try, I suggested—make her look like a marble statue: the goddess she envisioned herself to be. And it did!

Then I asked Gemini to turn the warty pumpkin statue around, and there, as sassy as you please, you get a peek of my warty pumpkin‘s posterior.

If she had a tongue to say “I love it” (I didn’t have the heart to carve that lovely face), I think she would have.

  1. Dear Jupiter! The Roman Goddess of pumpkins, CUCURBITA…be afraid, be very afraid, oh you mutilators of the sacred fruit!
