I used to like to vote in person because I wanted that sticker- a few years ago they were handing them out at a drop off box in my neighborhood and people were pretty excited about that.
So the message out there is to vote and participate no matter what Party you belong to.
Which meal is your favorite: breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
My favorite meal is dinner. Dinner is my favorite because if you do it right you can take your time preparing it and you can take your time eating it. It’s a chance to relax and enjoy yourself.
Who do you admire most in the world?
My dog.
With the obvious restrictions in place, what do you regret not doing in the last year?
I regret not getting to travel – actually what I miss is not having the option to travel or to not travel.
I suppose that isn’t going to change anytime soon.
Feel free to share something you’re grateful for.
None of my friends or family is dead from Covid-19.
Upon reflection, I think I have a soft spot for the Twilight Zone episodes where the lead character escapes a brutal reality ( In that category the episodes ” Miniature “ and ” The Fugitive “ are two of my favorites) for a kinder one.
As a kid I was bullied so there was no way I bought into those stories a hundred percent but I liked the idea that you could be magically transported to a place where you could take a breath and be happy.
This is the day before the U.S. Elections and I am both worn out and disgusted by the President and his behavior.
So I’ve posted these three clips because I would like to have someplace- even if it’s only computer generated, where I can take a time out before I have to come up for air and smell the stink.
We have just a little way to go and it’s going to take so long to get there.
If that isn’t a set up for a Twilight Zone episode, I don’t know what is.
For some weird reason, thinking about our situation in that framework makes it a little easier to navigate.
Today the stores were full of Christmas decorations.
This year I didn’t mind, it’s nice to have something else to think about, something else to look forward to, something to be excited about.
But I did feel bad because this year I feel like Halloween was outshadowed by truly horrific events and monsterous people indulging in endless dark and despicable behaviors.
Carving a scary face into a pumpkin and hanging my favorite skeleton out on my porch seemed to pale in comparision to what I saw on my tv each night.
I’m looking forward to the Winter Holidays, but there’s a little voice in my head that’s upset that Halloween took a backseat to reality this year.
I hope against hope that after Tuesday that the dark reality we have been plunged into for the last four years is no more and one with more promise takes it’s place.
