WP asked us to chose 10 travel destinations, but I’ve only written about three because they are my favorite places in the world to visit. By that I mean I go back to these places at least once a year:
Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum
Wisconsin Dells, USA
I visit my Son and his family every year just before Halloween and at the top of my to do list is a trip to the Ripley’s museum. Every inch of space in the museum has something strange or weird to look at. I love it there. LOVE IT.

Royal BC Museum
Victoria BC
My Grandpa Bert and my Aunt Irene ( his Sister ) were born in Victoria BC and our when he was a kid they moved to the US.
My family loved to return to Victoria for vacations ( we took a grand ferry called the Princess Marguerite ) and my favorite stops were Madame Tussaud’s Was Museum- I always headed straight for the Chamber of Horrors, Miniature World, The Royal BC museum and any of the French Bakeries that sold the most delicious Petit Fours you ever had the pleasure of eating. We’d go home with BOXES AND BOXES of pastries.
I’m sorry to say that the Wax Museum is gone ( boo!) and so are those wonderful bakeries ( they’ve been replaced, I swear to God by Coffee Shops BOOOOOOO- I don’t even LIKE coffee. )
I am glad to say that of course the Royal Museum is still there and so isMiniature World, :

Mount Baker
Washington State
When I was about 11 years old, I was walking my Dad’s cousin’s dog on one of these trails and when I went up to a lady to ask for directions back to the lookout she started to scream for help because my Cousin’s dog was a Saint Bernard and as big as a house. He was friendly but I guess she was not a dog person.
Anyway, Mount Baker is my favorite go to Mountain here in Washington state.

Wapio Valley
Honokaa, Hawaii USA
My family lives up the street from the lookout and the Valley.
My Grandfather and Uncles used to work for CH Sugar when the fields were just across the street and that entire area was pretty spooky at night ( which sure, I loved that. I used to sneak out to play in the yard in the middle of the night – I was about 3 or 4 at the time)
I grew up with stories about spirits in the Valley and that this wasn’t a place to go unless you were respectful of the Spirits that were down there.
My Uncles still live in Honokaa and I still consider it home.
