I was having a conversation with some friends about relationships- some of us had great stories about how we met and spectacular stories about relationship fails and Max said,

” It’s harder to lose a dog  you love then a guy. ”

Max was right.

When my relationship ended all I can say is, it ended one day and that was it. I don’t remember exactly how badly it hurt. It was over and it was sad.

That much I remember.

When my dog Cerberus passed away, I can tell you to this day exactly how it felt when my heart shattered. I think I know how many parts it broke into.

I am still missing some of those parts, but I think one day I will find them.

I’m sure Cerbie would want that for me.
