WP asks: Do You Believe In Karma?

I believe in ghosts and UFO’s and I wish I had the same faith in a cosmic force that allows us to live a peaceful and balanced  if we only do good things and treat the world with kindness, I do NOT.

I know people, good people who are buried in cemeteries and live alone in despair and the Universe took the best they had to offer and it kept on moving along.

If Karma is a thing, it has a lot to answer for.

Halloween Journal Prompt#17

5 Things I associate with fall:

Crunchy golden and blood red leaves scattered on my front lawn

white bones in ditch at the end of the road  that floods in the Spring , the brittle bones were pitted by sun and rain and the heat of summer and the cold of winter.  They have gnawed on by a dog named Darwin.

Peanut butter Taffy wrapped in purple and black waxed paper nestled in a bowl on my kitchen table.

Pumpkins and apples waiting on my kitchen counter for their surgeries to begin

Firewood stacked against the side of my house, a summer home for mice and food for my  summer dusted fireplace.

Little Green Bones

For RDP Thursday: GLABROUS

The leaves of the Holly tree are smooth, inflexible and sharp.

From a distance and up close Holly leaves look  like little green bones that have been glued to tree branches and splashed with  blotches of red.

When it snows and the leaves start to turn white, it looks like the Holly Tree is growing a skin and as the skin stretches over the frame,  you can see the tree the Holly  tree that could have been –
