What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?

If you have been betrayed, or lied to it makes it hard to remember the kindnesses people have shown you. It’s not that you don’t appreciate those kindnesses, it just makes you wonder if they were ever real or if they were something somebody did to get themselves through moment with you.

I have always wished I could draw.

My Dad was an artist, so was his Grandfather and his Uncles. So are my sons and my sister and brother, but that talent skipped me.

And then one Summer as my counselor recommend I try colorbooks, it was all the rage for reducing stress and guess what it worked.

Not only did working with those beautiful gel pens and colored pencils relax me, it felt like I could draw.

For WP Daily Prompt: What’s the weirdest coincidence you’ve ever experienced?

On the first day of my job as a Morticians Apprentice on my first call out,  I did a removal from a hospital near my hometown.

When I got back, I took care of the necessary check in tasks.The next day I took a closer look at the name  when it was time to prepare him for his open casket funeral service. It was a common name so that didn’t really ring any bells except for one little one that told me I knew a guy by that name.

Not two guys or three guys. Just one.

It turned out that the first person I prepared for the grave was the very first boy I kissed when I was 13 years old.

It was a weird turn, it was a strange day and sometimes, even though I no there is no answer,  I still wonder why it happened.
