RDP Monday: YADA YADA YADA

The air is still full of smoke

and Covid-19.

My well off friends and relatives

who sit in their back yards on padded lawn chairs and take pictures of the golden

sunsets and happy birds  singing from the trees

are proud of themselves

because

they are standing strong against

the poisoned winds that are pounding against everyone else’s door

relentlessly.

 

The rest of us  can see

that

the locks and seals around our windows and doors are failing.

The birds are not singing, those are sirens from miles away and the golden sunset is not

a

sunset.

The sky is on fire.

 

Yada Yada Yada.

 

Think happy thoughts and good things will come your way.

Just be a team player, grab those bootstraps and lift

and you too shall see the clear blue, germ free skies again.
