Today I tried  to my three year old granddaughter why I was not in Wisconsin yet.
It went about as well as you would expect:
” Where are you Lola?”
“I’m stuck in Texas, the planes can’t fly” I told her.
Jemma took a deep breath and then she came up with the perfect solution.
She was excited because she solved this horrible situation that I was in.
” Start walking” Jemma said.
( as a side note, I got a flight out of Texas the next day, Feb 24th  )

Jack Torrance had the Overlook Hotel and I have Dallas Fort Worth International airport.

My story started with this text and as the airport emptied, only we ghosts remained.

There’s a chance, I will fly out after spending 24 hours here as this storm rages through this part of the country.

Dear Airport People,

If several different gates make announcements at the same time, nobody can hear you.

Passengers who tell stories about how every single flight they’ve taken into Dallas and Chicago being late or grounded by weather are asking me to stitch and glue their lips together.

We KNOW about those HUBS and guess what- your stories are boring! Use sock puppets or do an interpretive dance.

Seriously I’ll pay you.

Hey look, a guy wearing facemask with a “Don’t Tread On Me ” logo…so is that a challenge because I am BORED and writing on my phone is … slow…

Travel fun fact.

If there is a letter missing from your name on your airline ticket, it will take you four hours on the phone to fix it.
