When I was little ( around  10 I think )I was thrilled to learn that Dolly Parton played guitar and wrote her own songs,  because if she was a girl and could do something in music that boys did, so could I.

My parents knew I loved rock and roll so they thought my Dolly Parton worship was odd but they were good with it… especially my Dad who always watched Dolly with me when she was on tv. LOL.

I’ve played guitar for over 50 years now and Dolly was with me on that journey.

I am broken hearted at her being gone.

RIP Dolly, I will always love you.
