There To Meet Macbeth

Macbeth and the Witches
Albert Pinkham Ryder

An attic full of portraits

painted by tortured souls

a basement full of  dusty bones

no  grave for them to call home

shelves full of glassy eyed monsters

and doors that lock on their own

some may call this a haunted house

but others just call it-

a museum.
