Here I Go!

Word of the Day Challenge: EMBARK

I ‘ve been off work for a short vacation since Thursday.

I wanted to use this time productively so that when Tuesday rolled around and my daily work week started back up,  I could say that what I did  on my time off mattered and counted.

I  wanted to  spend my time figuring out how to contribute to the world around me in a more meaningful way. I wanted to sent my mind to start sending out nothing but ‘positivity ‘ into the Universe because to be honest, most of the time I don’t.

My goal was to leave a little bit of the darkness behind me and step into the sunlight.

What happened was that I ended up spending most of my time playing with my dog and reading ghost stories. I also listened to hours and hours of music. I also did some research on Exorcisms.

All in all. I’d have to say that even if I did not stick to the plan, I had a pretty successful weekend.

This is copy of a painting by Leonardo da Vinci in the Louvre (inv. 775) which is dated to 1513-1516, at the end of the artist’s career. Scholars are now considering the possibility that the Walters’ version was actually executed at the same time, alongside the original. As in the original, the Baptist wears a leopard skin, usually considered an attribute of Bacchus.
